BBC World News: Presentation

Countdown graphics don't have the red box around the clock anymore and have the new ident (think it might be the new music as well).

EDIT: Ticker came up before the DOG.

Breaking news graphics are flat red, then going to white background/red text for small Breaking news super, on top of the red breaking news story's super (similar to the top stories style).

It is the new music - is it just me or are the numbers way too big in the countdown? They also just got to bust out their new Breaking News aston...

The new countdown graphics along with new promo graphics, ident, breakbumper, breakfiller and news graphics has led to a channel that feels so much more connected. For the first time since 2003 I can say that all the presentation feels like it came from the same channel.

The numbers do look a bit odd. I wonder though if it's to do a bit with making it uniform with the BBC News Channel's countdown.

I agree with that - there is a much more unified feel now. Unfortunately the feel is the problem...

does anyone have captures of the breaking news and countdown?

This is so much like the new look of CNN. Really disapointing.

Has someone got a video they can upload of the new look breakfiller, along with the new break bumpers (and they're irritating music)?

Still a bit of Helvetica/Swiss coming through. Also the old 'Watch online' super came through earlier (which looked a bit odd as it was missing the laptop (or whatever it was) graphic).

The grey ticker is UGLY. The white one looked great and stylish, this one is crap. The logo is too long.

The countdown is again worst than the News 24 one, why do they have to be different in the first place. : :

The music and the opening are nice, but the music during the headlines was better before.
