I was wondering what those platform like bits could have been. Obviously the large oval glass is the top of the desk and those curved red plastic pieces are the sides of the desk.
I don't think any of the desk was glass, was it? Polycarbonate or perspex I would have thought.
Those little rostra are nice. Sensible to make it in sections. Probably a lot easier to get it into the newsroom I expect.

So, for those who can't watch BBCWorld:
is this a fifth edition of WNT or one of the other four has been moved to that time?
15 mins WBR? 30 min WBR? Who presents it and where from?

5th. 2 was enough.
Up until today at this time it would have been BBC News, WBR then Sport Today. They've just extended a WBR and shoved it under the WNT brand.

Right.
So the WBR included in WNT lasts 30 mins (approximately from 2115 to 2145) and is presented from both London and NY. And Tanya Beckett presents both the news and the business. Did I get it right?

There were crosses to NY and Singapore but it wasn't like the London/NY WBR.

I see so they've incorporated WBR into this WNT programme, do the WBR titles remain then?

No, because its World News Today?
They do need to give WBR a new look though.

There have been some additional faces on WNT this week. Kirsty Lang, Mike Embley and Mishal Husain have made more than normal appearances in the last week.
I enjoyed the story introduced by Mishal Husain during the week on WNT, all about the Mars landing. It featured a space craft animated on the screen behind and then leaving that screen, flying through the studio (screen shot at least), before coming to rest on the desk next to Mishal, as she continued to deliver the piece!
And not even a hint of Blue Peter!
