Can anyone confirm or deny whether or not these BBC World News graphics changes are coming to the news channel, and other regional, national, and global language channels/broadcasts...

Of course not, the News channel seems to take second fiddle to World which is somewhat unfair. Wink

Contrast that to 10 years ago when the exact opposite was true!

Not true, The News Channel has far more resources and attention than World.

The changes are being made for commercial reasons are are all being driven by BBC World Ltd rather than BBC News

So will World be getting a brand new graphics package - new look ticker? astons? DOG?

I used to watch World News America every night, but due to my daily routine, I haven't caught it in a while.

I noticed that on BBCA, they no longer have the red "BBC WORLD NEWS" bug in the bottom left. Now, it says "BBC WORLD NEWS AMERICA". When did they make this change?

It always omit "BBC WORLD NEWS" bug since the April 2008 relaunch.

Well if the News Channel isn't changing (assuming ArchiveTV is a reliable source) I assume BBC World News isn't changing that drastically because they need to match up - most probably these changes just involve slightly different astons for each programme rather than a complete overhaul.

I'm currently watching / recording BBC World News right now, and I noticed that there's something "new" with Asia Business Report...

from my Point of View, which is the Philippines, it looks like the screen is not anymore trapped in a 4:3 aspect ratio... cropped to 16:9?

apologies, but I don't know... BBCWN is still cropped to 14:9 here.
