In the open sequence of that video, does Sally Bundock just swivel her chair backwards, away from the desk to be out of camera shot during the titles or something?

Yes, I guess so. Unless the root opening is actually pre-recorded? Or Sally was wearing silent slippers and sneaked off of the set?
Michelle almost forgot her name at the very end..........

It's unusual for the BBC to pre-record headlines. The ending was a bit funny the way Sally gave a full title yet Michelle just gave her first name. It's because we're mates, good ol' Chelle.
Can anyone confirm who presented last night's (9th September) edition of World News Today at 7pm UK time? (I.e. the bulletin that is normally presented by Zeinab Badawi).
Kirsty Lang was also in last night for Nik Gowing. I have to say I was really impressed with her fiesty performance with the Sri Lankan Government rep in the studio over their refusal to allow foreign media to enter the exclusion zone to report on the humanitarian effort.
She tore the guy to pieces!! In a very nice way, however. The guy repeatedly made reference to the "terrible Channel 4 News" who had previously aired secret footage from inside the zone and which - in his opinion - was not correct and gave a false impression to the outsid world. He was clearly unaware that Kirsty herself was an ex- ITN C4 news anchor and when she challenged him to "openly invite BBC World News to visit the camps", his reply was "I'll see what I can do, as long as you promise not to bring your friends from Channel 4". Kirsty's reply was "There is no chance of that", or words along those lines.
Owen Thomas has been excellent doing the business news as well as the main news today. He really brings so much more to business than any of the others. But there was a slightly awkward moment when he handed to Adnan on the sport commenting on how much a footballer is paid. Adnan turned to him and said... don't tell me that if CNN didn't offer to double your salary you wouldn't go and work for them...
Owen looked slightly shocked and mumbled how much he loved working for the BBC. Let's not forget Owen used to be a presenter on CNN.....

A rather foolish thing for Adnan to say live on air.........I wonder if he got a small rap on the knuckles for that! If I was his boss, I would!
Incredible coverage of the anniversary of the Leahman Bros collapse on Mishal Husain's WNT.
Mishal from Singapore (with an awesome live shot of the skyline behind her) and other BBC anchors in NY and London. If the anchors had this much energy all the time the channel would brilliant.
