First time I've ever seen Zeinab Badawi doing a weekend shift. I assume she must be in to cover the Obama in Ghana Africa story and live coverage later today. Which means that Owen Thomas had a quick shift today - just one bulletin!!

Former BBC World presenter Donald MacCormick has died
Veteran BBC newsman dies aged 70
Former BBC broadcaster and presenter Donald MacCormick has died of a heart attack, aged 70. The Scot anchored current affairs show Newsnight throughout the 1980s along with John Tusa and Peter Snow.
A shame to read about his death - always thought he was a good newscaster and his professionalism always seemed to shine through. Not a patch on some of those today.
Miss Brancher, the longest serving presenter on the BBC World television service, had her claim against a letting agency rejected by a judge who described her case as "folly".
Miss Brancher and her husband Clifford Beard, 78, a retired construction millionaire, paid one million euros in 2004 for a villa they named Les Jolies Eaux in Theoule-sur-Mer, near Cannes.
World News coming from N6 tonight, are there problems in N8?
Could just be regular maintenance going on in the studio or office areas. It happens from time to time. The joint service coming from a different studio to normal doesn't imply problems in the normal studio implicitly.
Only time I've seen her on BBC News domestic is for political reporting. But that's a rota thread issue.
People need to remember back in the days of BBC News 24, that channel used to debunk to N6 or TC7 for weekends with overnights in N9 quite regularly. Regardless of if it's BBC News or BBC World using the studio, N8 is still N8 and requires the same maintenance as it always has.
