They do seem to have given that desk a good cleanup since News 24 left. I remember it being rather scratched near the end. Either that or it's a trick of the light.

Well they took it all apart didn't they? Seem to remember seeing a picture of the desk in bits following News 24's departure. Maybe they gave it a clean then.

It's in a much better condition than the News Channel's - covered with scratches and biro marks. I'm sure the piece of acrylic (or glass maybe) that tops World News's desk isn't too costly to replace.

Sky talking about the shambles that is the government covered a bit of the media frenzy on the green, including this shot of what looks like Nik Gowing presenting for BBC World News. Thought it would please World News buffs.

I think its plastic, because if it was glass it would have a huge crack in it by now.

Who says he couldn't have been on the green earlier/after being based at TVC. I'm pretty sure it was him.

No. Look at the time. It says 17.16, he was presenting World News today at that time.

Sorry, the cap is misleading. The footage was pre-recorded in a package, so not actually live.

Some guy named Komla Dumor was presenting today. He was not bad, but it was sometimes difficalt to understand what he was saying. I guess I was just not used to his accent.
