Sydney crosses always look like a dog's breakfast..as does the fact that they're reporting from Sydney with a harbour backdrop on news 1000 kilometres away.
Some problems with the start of World News Today - countdown was over a second out of sync, then the opening titles visuals didn't play after the headlines, and it just held on the wide shot of Lyse Doucet looking down awkwardly shuffling her papers while the music played.

That's happened quite a few times lately and - for whatever reason - poor Lyse is always the one coincidentally in the chair at the time.
During today's two-presenter slot with David Eades and Tanya Beckett, they were having a prolonged argument with each other about something (in a very friendly and humourous manner however). Did anyone actually catch what provoked the initial reaction from Tanya? What did David say?
Whatever it was, she took it in very good humour and even used the excuse of Sue Thearle turning up for the sports news as an excuse for David to stop being petty for a while!
And why is Sue Thearle now doing the sports news on World? I thought she was now a full time news anchor on News 24?

No, Sue Thearle is a freelancer. As well as being a sports anchor and occasional news anchor for BBC News Channel, she also anchors on the Setanta Sports News channel.
I am sure Mr. Dagwell wouldn't mind decamping for just one night! If it had been Susan Osman on duty, the entire scenario would have been different perhaps.
LOL. Here's James being hilarious again! There is one particular moment during the clip (at 0:11) where he distinctly reminds me of a certain Mr. Norton. One wonders if James will ever make it onto Daytime or Primetime bulletins???????
How bizarre! Lyse Doucet seated behind the newsdesk anchoring World News Today live from London, handing over to a report in Afghanistan by...........er,.....Lyse Doucet! Now, that's magic!
Damn, looks like they've pulled the live stream from the BBC World website. It's just showing a BBC News graphic, and playing on loop what sounds like an alternate mix of the old The World main theme.
