Not quite the Aaron Heslehurst of business, but I saw him a couple of nights ago, and definitely, he was very up-beat for the early hours of the morning on overnights!
I must say, since Sport's move to Salford, I feel the team of presenters are markedly better. They seem much more engaging to watch.
Don't think ive ever seen chris mitchell so enthusiastic on ST

It also helps that different set of presenters (who are very good) seem to come along every month which really freshens it up and the live backdrop is excellent, now its time BBC World replace London skyline with live news shot seen on the very first bulletin from NBH on 13 January with ros atkins.

Interestingly, BBC News's Middle East page lists the following as being in the Middle East:
Pakistan isn't really in the Middle East in it's widely accepted definition - as that usually stops at Iran. (Some include Pakistan in the "Greater Middle East")
Most descriptions of the region including Pakistan describe it as South Asia - and bracket it with India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka (and often Afghanistan, Nepal and Bhutan)

If I'm not mistaken, didn't the BBC press release from last year about Yaldah Hakim joining BBC World News mention she'd present a new weekly programme? If so, has that programme aired yet (or further details been released) or is this another case of BBC World News committing to a new weekly programme, announcing it, and then never following through (such as with Lyse Doucet's Frontline, that ultimately just became a Friday edition of Impact)? I've seen her present Studio B-based news bulletins and report for Our World, but nothing else so far.

I wouldn't be too sure but my guess is it's generally the same, except for occasional editions of things like business etc. where they substitute it with a program specific to that region, Ie Middle East in your case, that doesn't quite feel so paramount to the world audience. But they do have middle east business report shifted to somewhere in the weekends for the world consumption, I think only 1 edition per week, just like India Business Report. On the other hand, World shows Asia Business everyday probably because Asia is a larger part of the world economy relative to those two, so it feels a bit more critical.

No BBC 2 simulcast today?
I've noticed that BBC World are crediting The Sun with that footage that ITV News showed last night in regards to the Woolich incident...

There seems to be two sets of footage as they were both used on Newsnight last night, one filmed in portrait being credited to the sun, and one filmed in landscape being credited to ITV news.

Not since Tuesday, strangely.
BBC News/BBC World News simulcast resumes next Tuesday, though next Wednesday there is only BBC News. This is normal for Wednesday due to PMQs, except that parliament is off next week. Both news simulcasts are on again next Thurs.
