It seems BBC WN liked the program handover (the one that they do after GMT & before Impact), they decided to ditch the program close on GMT and do a handover to Tim Willcox, whose presenting the 1200GMT bulletin.

The same desk? Or World News from the other side?

A brief cockup during the BBC2 simulcast, with a VT failing to play, showing a still image for several seconds. The ticker was still moving, but BBC2 pres cut to a breakdown slide and apology from the CA before crashing back to Martine Dennis when World has presumably decided to abandon the VT.

When did Newsday gain BBC World News in the title box instead of BBC News?

Is it just me or have they gone for globes in all their presentations where possible now?

What channel are you watching BBC News channel in the UK or BBC World News?
If it is on BBC WN, it's because of the live box-logo graphic... but if it is on BBC NC, that will definitely be odd.

Tim is standing on the newswalls (errr... the one where Aaron stands up during business...), since he will be sitting on the same desk anyways.

I'm sure when they didn't move to BH yet, they still used the BBC News box (even at the time it moved times and now produced by World). But now they are in BH, it depends on what channel are you watching. If you're on World News, it's the WN box that will show up - but if you're on the NC, the BBC News box will appear. Boxes that are shown on all BBC News programmes are LIVE.

Newsday has always had a WN box from 11pm even before the move as no one ever saw it apart from World. After 1am though on both channels it's just a generic BBC News box.

Thanks Gary. I seriously can't recall it properly as I've been watching WN in full lately.

I vaguely remember since the change of times for Newsday till recently the 11pm box on BBC WN had BBC News in the box on the titles not BBC WN. Did this change happen when the BBC News Channel moved as well? Also, like the use of the screens in Studio C for the links to Singapore and interviews.

I have access occasionally to BBC WN, so don't watch often.

You're all making this sound a lot more complicated than it really is.

When Newsday came from TVC, there was no dynamic logo generating going on so the logo was a part of the titles.

Now however the logo is generated whenever needed as part of the graphics system, Viz. This means that the correct logo can be shown on the correct output, similar to the DOG & clock being different even though they're simulcasting.

If the below image was a capture from BBC World News rather than the BBC News channel (post 18th March), it would be showing the BBC World News box.

The setup at TVC simply didn't have the "template" as it were to show the dynamic logo. Hence the reason that when Word News moved to BH and domestic were still at TVC, there was no logo on the titles.

Thank you for the clarification!
