That issue with the camera moving looks more like a mis-timed cue rather than anything else. Moving to the end screen will have been planned all along, somebody just pressed the key to do the next thing in the running order a little too early.

Like Noggin says, this kind of thing used to happen before automation too - plenty of anecdotes of cameramen in Pres A misinterpreting the subtle cue from Jack Scott to pan to the next weather map - back in the days when weather had real maps and cameramen

I wonder if those screens in E could be used to do the weather in that kind of style again? Today's forecast on one screen, walk to the next screen for tomorrow and to the final screen for the outlook

Well it appears the cameras in the News channel studio didn't want to be outdone today, either...

Aaron really has trouble with these "dancing cameras". Getting the tool box wanting to fix them.

Oh dear. I guess this is what you get when you increase automation; the article seems to blame Mosart.

Though in reality this has happened pretty much since the launch of News 24. Whilst it may have been generated by Mosart this time, it certainly wasn't something unheard of before Mosart.

Fair enough, but I don't think you could possibly argue that the camera going for a wander of its own volition as seen in the clip above would have happened before increased automation. I have never in my life seen any camera at TVC do that! The fact is automation might save money, but it's always going to be less reliable than having people do the job.

Can we sue the trolls though? Clearly this was another case of trolls taking over the control room. NBH seems to be full of them.

But unfortunately, it has been a daily occurrence whenever Aaron is on BBC World News, its either the cameras or the Marketboard not showing properly...

But one thing that I really wish is for World Business Report to get a full half-hour schedule, it seems they do not enough time for the markets because WBR automatically ends at :40, then Sport Today starts at :43, and the 5-minute bits before the top of the hour news.

It certainly happened in the era of robotic cameras in N1 and N2. There's a blooper clip (from the Six I think) of the camera reframing while on air and putting the newsreader behind the keyed in photo.

Same occurred in the famous Sue Lawley lesbian invasion. Robotic cameras were, understandably, a bit shaken with people handcuffing themselves to their being.

I wish they would bring back the London-New York edition of the programme. It's really good and fits in with the schedule. I also agree with you about bringing back half-hour editions of WBR.

I do agree with some people that the 5-minute bits should be scrapped. They must be shown on weekends instead.
