I don't know where to ask this, so I'll just post it here...

Why is it UK audience are being point to bbc.co.uk/news and International audience point to bbc.com/news, when everything goes to the same place? Putting geo-blocked elements, like advertisements, is just a matter of putting codes somewhere on the website... Does BBC still need to direct us to "different" websites?

They are different editions. bbc.co.uk/news is the news homepage for the UK which will feature quite a lot of domestic stories, wheras bbc.com/news is actually the world homepage... I think.

There are three versions of the BBC homepage. The UK version, the world version and the North America version. It's not simply the world or North America page users are directed to, it's a specially set up homepage. Normally, UK users can't see the bbc.com/news page for the world/North America users.

That "topline aston strap" explanation by the BBC spokeswoman is a bit technical, isn't it!

It's with some sadness that I report that this Sunday's simulcast of BBC World News will be the final regular simulcast of World News on TV ONE and quite likely the last time it will be available routinely to viewers in New Zealand without Sky.

From Monday 1 April the 0000 - ~0530 time slot that has been the home for BBC World for approximately 20 years is to be filled with infomercials in order to save TVNZ in excess of $400 000 annually, according to the New Zealand Herald ([http://www.nzherald.co.nz/business/news/article.cfm?c_id=3&objectid=10874041)

Edit: Hopefully fixed link tag

That camera and the presentation position has been giving Aaron trouble every Friday for the last month or so. There always tends to be an issue with the camera or with the graphics on the screens not functioning correctly.

He must be fed up with the whole thing. I am.

I suppose we are lucky in the UK - I've not seen or heard of a single problem with the cameras in Studio E. It's all been pretty slick so far!

Oh dear. I guess this is what you get when you increase automation; the article seems to blame Mosart.

There have been a couple of times I've seen the camera moving in a funny direction in Studio E.

I've seen a few - but for a launch with new technology it's been smooth in the main.

Though in reality this has happened pretty much since the launch of News 24. Whilst it may have been generated by Mosart this time, it certainly wasn't something unheard of before Mosart.
