Lucy Hockings says "See you tomorrow" on Impact, and all I could think was... Will BBC WN be affected by the BECTU strike tomorrow?

If WN isn't affected, I wouldn't be surprised. But it will be nice if isn't, also for the concern of viewers, who need more news.

Is everyone else off at WN today? It's unlike Martine Dennis to have done the 11.30am WN/BBC Two simulcast!

Naga did the early morning edition, but it is indeed a bit strange that Martine Dennis did the late morning... like Peter Dobbie doing overnights for a second night.

You can continue that discussion on the rotas thread.

The question is can we expect some schedule changes tomorrow if WN is affected by the BECTU strike?

Well seeing as it's WN related then its sort of appropriate for here...

Not sure about that, but I'm very sure about this... I don't think BBC WN pre-empt branded programming (GMT, Impact, Global, etc...) and make them Generic BBC WN bulletin during Easter Holiday (or Holy Week) like what they do during Christmas-New Year holidays.

The branded programmes will still appear this week. Only the presenters will be different.

I feel a new thread coming on about the strike, but Susanna announced at the end of today that Naga and Charlie will present, which is as planned. For Naga fans on Breakfast, she said that she'll be on from Thursday to Monday!

I suspect from this that the extent to which services will be hit will be much less, since Salford didn't enter the picture last time for Breakfast.

It's a 12 hour strike from 12pm so Breakfast wouldn't be involved anyway.
