BBC World News from New Broadcasting House

I always had a soft spot for N9. It must have been horrible to work in though as there were no windows whatsoever. It did look nice on screen though.

Yep, it even stayed there for almost a decade.

I got round to uploading this today after I made it a few days after the channel moved to BH. It's pretty much my take on how the music should sound in the titles but NC seems to have remixed it better(ish). It's A bit messy but you can hear what I'm trying to achieve.

The trailers and breakfiller still has the old sized BBC World News logo but stings and I think the countdown as well as output is now using the new sized one, hopefully someone sees this in the trailers/breakfiller department (Red Bee?) and makes an alteration.

Also noticed they are having ticker issues this weekend.

Did BBC WN scrapped the "Local Time" usage, because I do not see it during Tim Wilcox's live interview from Nicosia... or is it BBC WN just linking to BBC News channel's gallery?

EDIT: Oops, said too soon... "Local Time" showed up on Paris interview.

Karin Giannone has just handed to Tim Willcox in Nicosia, to which he began "Thanks, Chris".

Surely, after years of doing it, we can get a simulcast right???

Soon, I bet he says "Chris, back to you."

Sounds like NBH

I thought NBH had natural lighting, but looking at the newsroom shots suggust otherwise.

I think the newsroom is in the basement, so that's probably what Generic means. At least Stage VI at TVC had windows to the outside world - NBH seems like a step backwards for staff.

I believe BBC Two HD has launched today, Is BBC WN at 11:30pm UK time also in HD?

I would imagined it would have been...

Not today, tomorrow the 26th. I wonder what time it will launch? I'm sure the 11.30am UKT WN bulletin will be in HD when Two HD goes on the air.
