BBC WN totally embraced Twitter, because they show on the lower-thirds the reporter's twitter account whenever they are doing (or showing) an interview...

I wonder if that will also the case for BBC NC when they relaunch tomorrow... Confused

Yeah saw that too. This is the only time I can see they put Twitter accounts on most reporters in this bulletin.

I think we have overlooked something... Isn't GMT supposed to change timeslots after the start of Daylight Savings Time in the US?

Does BBC WN disregard the US timezone now, or is it because GMT is not anymore aired on BBC America?

Well London is still using Greenwich Mean Time until the end of the month so it would look silly to change it when London is still using it.
ISTR that people spotted the twitter symbol is 'the old bird', well if that's the case wouldn't the NC idea of using the @ look much better?

Actually, I'm talking about GMT with George Alagiah. Very Happy

I don't think so, since usage of the Twitter bird is now common on television and online...

And the 'Bird' has to be used now when Twitter is shown anywhere, and that's from Twitter themselves.

I think the BBC would just tell them to sling their hook. What exactly can twitter do about it f the BBC don't use their bird.

GMT with George Alagiah has always aired at 1200 UK Time. Impact and The Hub both timeshift as they are time locked to GMT, as does World News America which is timelocked to Washington time.

They showed a pre recorded interview on WBT which was done in virtual studio.

or is it because GMT is not anymore aired on BBC America?

BBC World News airs on BBC America 6-8amET weekdays, which should include GMT most of the year. (They quickly brought back the morning simulcast after axing it)

Those are guidelines - they're hardly going to ban anyone who contravenes them (especially not someone as big as the BBC).

Watching BBC World News, and they have aired a new version of the countdown... with the small box logo and new images (like Spencer Kelly in front of a Gundam statue in Japan, and Stephen Sackur in the Middle East), same end part though.
