That Live bug moved up on top of the aston like the programme name bugs do on the LHS.

I still don't like the new World graphics, and specifically, the straps. For example, with the old ones (and the current NC ones) you'd get the lovely radio waves effect when the graphics faded in (this is also shown repeatedly in the old breaking news strap). The new graphics are quite detached from the other parts of the package in my opinion.

I like the compactness of it and the Live graphic is nice but like I said before theres no wave animation in these new graphics, particulatly noticable duting breaking news and so far only one programme has a side graphic and that's World Business Report.

Exactly what I was getting at. There's no theme - the distinctive font is gone, the wave animation is gone, all that's left is the colour red and the fact there's a BBC logo on it!
You're right about the compactness of it though, that's a plus.

HARDtalk also has a side graphic too.

It is indeed HD all the way. An SD version of the News Channel is available to the Broadcast Centre, but I suspect it's just there as a reserve in case the HD path dies.

All the new studios at Broadcasting House are running in HD (though lots of the pre-recorded material is upscaled SD), so as long as the route to BBC One at Red Bee in the Broadcast Centre (W12) is HD end-to-end, then the overnight service should be HD on BBC One HD. There is likely to be some network switching in the path BBC One take (so that they take the same feed whichever studio is originating the overnight service?) but that should be HD.

Is it me or does one of the screens on the left look very much like the cream era BBC World breakfiller?
