When will BBC Two HD be launched?
March 26th, I think.
Just realised in the uk for half an hour at least we will get BBC World News in HD of course I shall record this and put some grabs of it, but that's two weeks away.

speaking of which, the purpose of breakfillers are for cable providers to put their own adverts there, right?
here in the Philippines, i don't see any local adverts during breakfillers... and i don't think they are being offered here.

.25 usually... and for exactly that reason, adverts. Every region airs adverts that relate to their region. While one region may not advertise as much, a breakfiller and channel promos are played out, usually breakfiller. World News isn't funded by the licence fee so relies on advertising. Someone please correct me if im wrong.

As far as I'm aware similcasting the news channel's output on BBC One doesn't upscale to HD.
Yes and BBC One for a few hours overnight will show BBC News from Worlds studio so that means Sport Today and World Business Report will be in HD
