^ I'm a bit bored of that shot, wish they would have a wide shot from the ceiling like before, or at least a shot of the set from in front of the desk.

Seeing presenters legs behind desk doesn't look good imo.

It's better then bbc news, it's presentation sucks big time it's like the year 2000 again when we were all raving about worlds presentation over the then news 24.

Well you'll have to endure that for only 3 more weeks and then the magic of NBH will come. Very Happy

I really love this shot they use on Business Edition, it's reminiscent of the old set.

Looking great. It's like the N8 newswall view we saw back then. Smile

I guess they can only use this shot for Business Edition, as for all other programmes the presenter is sitting on the other side of the desk.

Oh yes, because it would be impossible for a presenter to sit on the other side of the desk

I did not say that it is impossible, I just said that they don't.

Here's an interesting video about the creation of the New BBC News countdown music for the 2013 revamp, which features an interview with David Lowe.

I don't know if its been posted before, so have posted anyway.

Most fortunately, it looks like they've got rid of the hand-held camera or whatever it was on World Have Your Say. Friday's edition has been posted on YouTube and there isn't a wobble-cam in sight, and it's much better for it.

Also, and I know this is off-topic, but I really don't like Ros Atkins' presenting style.

It certainly wasn't a Steadicam... Was just running handheld.

It could be due to coverage of the Oscar Pistorius bail verdict running into the start of World Have Your Say, casuing there to be little scope to set up the usual operation. TIme will tell next week.

Just reread that part of the thread, and indeed you are correct - a steadicam is what was needed!
