I see that, despite the channel not being available in the UK, as of 26th January, BBC World News programme listings and schedules can now be viewed on the BBC Programmes website:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldnews/programmes/a-z

http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldnews/programmes/schedules/europe

they may have this: http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldnews/programmes/schedules/asiapacific
but the times are still in GMT. hehe.

I still wish that some BBC WN newscasts are on iPlayer International, if it will ever be available globally.

When you say I need to "calibrate" the BARCOS, how does one do that?

You'll need a Barco technician to come out and calibrate them. It's a complex task.

I'll have to get one round, the BBC have sent me a few cubes too!

I only got two, but they also sent Worzel to constantly criticise their calibration so that makes up for it

One thing I've noticed to BBC WN since they have moved to BH is there had been a lot of miscues lately... News reports being cut in the middle, and they have to rush end interviews. Don't they have a clock there, or at least plan in advance? Confused

I just saw this on Global with Jon Sopel , and I haven't seen this studio before...

BBC Arabic's studio, judging by the shape of the desk and the newsroom beyond.

Yep, that is the BBC Arabic studio...which may explain why BBC Arabic was in a VR set previously

Was the interview live? If it wasn't, then it may have been a case of finding a studio that wasn't on-air and using it?

I wonder why they couldn't have used Studio C (surely studio B and C wouldn't both have been in use), Studio A (not being able to see the guest doesn't seem to stop them when Hardtalk is DTL) or BBC London's current studio, and used BBC Arabic's instead?

After some amount of hoop-jumping*, I've managed to get some HD captures. They work best in YouTube's 720p mode. Apologies for the minor lipsync problems.

Studio B, yesterday:

Studio C, today:

It's a whole 10-minute summary - hopefully it won't get taken down by any rightsholders!

* we don't have any HD-SDI capture facilities

Speaking of studios I don't like how some 'BBC World News' branded bulletins are in Studio C while others are in Studio B, I would much rather that Studio C be the only studio they use for them, makes the brand look more consistent IMO. Also I think World News Today would be better suited in Studio B, seeing as Zeinab starts her bullletin standing up, I think the screens in B are better suited for that.
