Noticed that the overnight bulletin titles weren't branded with a boxed logo. Is this permanent, or temporary?
it's probably permanent. the news bulletin titles are together with the live BBC WN box logo.
I guess that's what will happen when BBC NC moves to BH.
I thought one of the reasons the 'box' was generated live was so that they could easily produce two separate streams, one branded as 'BBC World News' and one as 'BBC News'?

That is what I heard as well, but with BBC News not due to move until March at the latest. For us here in the UK the titles from Broadcasting House will, in my mind remain boxless. Then the two 'streams' will be enacted from what I can guess.
BBC World News currently airing "Prince Harry in Afghanistan".
Rather interesting content and also at the high end of the tottyometer.
However, of interest to World viewers?
A few days ago, US entertainment news (like TMZ) is buzzing about Prince Harry, and he is welcome to come back in Las Vegas. I don't think that will happen very very soon.
I have to admit I don't like the lower thirds its just so ordinary, all they've done is extended it so its full width and changed the font to Helvetica, its look silly when the headline strap is on its own, and I really don't like the way the headline bongs just start up again its not the BBC News channel, they can do that.
They've got to sort out the boxed logo its in all wacky dimensions, positions its all over the joint and they had 3 years to plan in HD and to not get that sorted is disappointing and even when BBC News channel goes there it still wont be in HD, its really poor it took BBC World News donkeys to make it to widescreen despite setting themselves up in 1997 to use widescreen are they going to do the same with HD?

I presume you were watching via the UK news channel, the box does turn up when you're watching on BBC World News, I noticed this when I was watching Newsday on both channels side by side. I imagine that once the News channel makes it's move, the 'BBC News' box will return.
Is there any reason why BBC TWO cant do an hour of BBC WORLD NEWS at 11am, instead of half NC & half World ads currently, as everyone in the Uk can get the NC?
Not the slickest of starts for BBC World News' 5am hour this morning, the opening sequence looked at best like a rehearsal. The end of the show was also its usual shockingly bad self, no end music, a static end frame of the titles and as ever a rushed un-scripted goodbye. Considering this hour is on BBC One one would like to think that a little more effort would be put into proceedings.
I must drop-in to collect the actual "Hub". The one which Nik Gowing used to stand behind! It's been promised to me, only they couldn't find a jiffy bag big enough to post it off.
So, I must collect.
Should I wear jacket and tie, JUST in case they ask me to do "Impact"?
