(sorry, we've just had a server move and it's causing a few oddities with the uploader Sad )

Its also a poorly framed shot. Most of the interest is to the left of the centre vertical line of the image.

I may have been sweeping round. The trunking is just awful though. I think this has been a huge botch, no doubt a rush job when they found out the smart glass didn't work.

Ruined an amazing studio as far as I'm concerned.

I suspect that's where the power line and video cable goes to feed the screen. It could be better dressed though to hide it.

I watched the 0900 GMT bulletin this morning and the camera work was just awful. We came out of an OB back to Karin Gianonne and the camera shot suddenly and quite violently lurched backwards only to slowly zoom in again seconds later - not quite centred on Karin as it had been a moment ago, so had to be adjusted again.

Then the throw to Sally Bundock at the newswall was horrendous as well - the camera wobbled and shook all the way along the track by the looks of it.

I appreciate they're obviously getting used to new technology and surroundings, but it's very noticeable to the viewers and surely ought to have all been ironed out in the piloting stage?

I hadn't noticed either of the points that Moz has brought up, but it would have been a simple thing to put the trunking on the other side of the frame to blend in with the vertical edging behind...

Did David Lowe compose the music for Global? I don't see a track for it on his website...curious.

BBC World News in meltdown this morning at BH. Geeta Guru Murty and Sally Bundock having to cope with failed reports, dancing cameras, repeating auto cue, wrong cameras, wrong stings, repeated stings, fake closes and wrong graphics and colouring in the backgrounds.

Geeta has just apologised for all the issues.

Noticed a number of issues this morning too.... talk about teething problems! Out of interest (and not wanting to delve too much into rotachat) has Nik Gowing actually appeared on the morning slot since the move?

Yes, he presented Wednesday to Friday last week. This week he's in Davos for the World Economic Forum.
