Interesting to see the News channel showing Jon Sopel's interview on 'Global with Sopel' with Kevin Spacey, especially the new set and old graphics together...

After some amount of hoop-jumping*, I've managed to get some HD captures. They work best in YouTube's 720p mode. Apologies for the minor lipsync problems.

Studio B, yesterday:

Studio C, today:

It's a whole 10-minute summary - hopefully it won't get taken down by any rightsholders!

* we don't have any HD-SDI capture facilities

Thanks thegeek, the question reminds if its all in HD, why is there no BBC World News HD?

There's a new blog on Global Minds on the move to NBH.

Thank you very much thegeek. Both studios look absolutely fantastic in HD it has to be said so I'm very much looking forward to seeing the NC/nationals studio where we'll see HD broadcasts every day.

On David Lowe's website, there's a 'Concert mix', which is presumably just the countdown with the orchestra. Sounds brilliant. A lot more subdued and calm, but it sounds lovely.

It's very interesting to look through and the channel seems to have settled well.

A small plea, can someone please record and upload the reports on the building from the first day. They are on the news website but I can't access them as they are inaccessible to those in the UK.

Rendezvous With Zeinab Badawi is back on BBC World News at the moment, does anyone know where it's coming from studio wise for this series? It seems to change for each series.

Edit: The studio is Westminster Live - http://www.westminster-live.com/

There is, just not in Europe at the moment.

Thanks for the HD captures, and thank goodness they have not been embargoed... Laughing
You could really see the difference when you see the Opening in HD!

I think HD is already the norm in Europe (right?), then I really wonder why they set up an HD feed first in North America and here in Asia... despite the fact the no one knows that it actually exist. Confused

Martine continues to say 'this morning' at the start of her summaries, which is starting to become quite irritating. Is this due to a simulcast with the domestic BBC News channel?
