I think the serious illness you wanted to make fun of in that post was Parkinson's disease.
Thanks, that's the one.
Clearly, yes.
That Alzheimer's-esque lurch towards the screen as they went to a break was laughable.

So, this has gone then has it? (taken from behind the scenes on Impact - sorry to keep banging on about this!)
Clearly, yes.

Clearly, yes.
You're both wrong... the screen is clearly visible at 07:22 on the most recent edition of World News Today on the iPlayer. The difference in visibility from different angles is probably down to the strange angle it is being projected from.

Surely someone other than Kirsty Lang must have left?!? ...they seem to have too many presenters now.
Now, it's David Eades.

After some amount of hoop-jumping*, I've managed to get some HD captures. They work best in YouTube's 720p mode. Apologies for the minor lipsync problems.
Studio B, yesterday:
Studio C, today:
It's a whole 10-minute summary - hopefully it won't get taken down by any rightsholders!
* we don't have any HD-SDI capture facilities

Thanks for those captures (waiting for the Studio C to process). Titles look so much better now, being able to watch them in HD. The fine lines and colours are clearer and much more vivid. Graphics look a lot better watching them in better quality than that very bad quality stream that I'm using. They look quite neat and more than do the job.
Can't wait for domestic to get HD News in a matter of weeks now!

I don't think either of us were suggesting there is no longer a screen there, but clearly it's been replaced by a different panel. Moz pointed out the differences a few pages back.
