World News America isn't in their usual studio. They're coming from the DTL studio with the live feed of the White House.

Apparently something went wrong in the main studio that prevented them from going to air.

There was a brief breakdown at 10AM BST at the beginning of GMT. There was the breakdown slide "We apologise for the interruption. The programme will continue as soon as possible." Preceding GMT atleast in the US was Hardtalk. Unfortunately my TiVo didn't record that program so I don't know how long it lasted. GMT started within a minute and probably cutting off Tim Wilcox's first few words - likely the namecheck.

Aarons show is good. Not a fan of the titles and the logo. Looks all a bit hashed together.. too much going on. I can only think of one former member here who possibly made them?

The titles are based on an existing brand used for a show that was made in Singapore (Karishma Vaswani) and in London (With Tanya Beckett). It has been recoloured and tweaked a bit and has brand new music.

And even goes back to Linda Yeuh presenting the programme first.

How long has Sport Today had its current look? Nice music and titles not keen on the rest... but sport today is now literally 5 minutes long, whats the point?

I wish Comcast would offer World in even a downconverted SD 16:9 widescreen feed. The letterboxed 14:9 image in a 4:3 picture size drives me crazy.

At this point I'd be ecstatic if BBC letterboxes a 16:9 feed in a 4:3 frame - atleast graphics wouldn't be cut off and I could "zoom" it to fill the screen. However I think at this time with most channels transmitting a 16:9 SD frame I think the BBC could do the same. Most cable companies have gone digital and have digital transport adapters in addition to standard cable boxes can easily convert the image to fit the TV.
