Bordering on a 'Rota' post there, saved by the fact you mentioned the countdown. I think Hard Talk has well and truly moved out of TC7 now, it's just the new green screen studio mocked up to look like TC7.

Can anybody confirm if HARDtalk has moved to the virtual studio?
And won't they dress it up a bit & add some augmented reality...

though I still want to imagine that Stephen is actually talking to no one & staring at a green wall. Very Happy

Yes it is. Chris Cook posted it earlier this week.

A very CNN like opening to WHYS, shaking camera zooming on the screens, only at CNN camera never shook this much. Shocked

It seems BBC WN forgot to buy steadycams... hehehe. Very Happy

Seems they have forgotten they have a special graphic for Twitter usernames, too...

Mmm. Has the jib broken down already or are they simulating an earthquake with a handheld camera for 'effect'? Stop the ride, I want to get off.

Maybe they are going old school, and there is actually a cameraman in the studio... and as a result, a poor imitation of the steadicam effect.

Well it looks absolutely atrocious whatever the reason. Almost unwatchable. That Alzheimer's-esque lurch towards the screen as they went to a break was laughable.

Camerawork aside, a great new look for WHYS and it definitely seems at home in Studio B.

Ah, just caught a glimpse of the 'steadicam' in a wide shot. It's some bloke holding a camera on his shoulder, no stabilisation equipment at all.

Pete posted:
They're running a story about the rerecording of the countdown music, including interviews with Davids Lowe and Arnold.

is this report on the BBC site yet?

Would love to see this if anyone manages to capture it.

I think the serious illness you wanted to make fun of in that post was Parkinson's disease.

Didn't BBC WN use the same general titles on all 'Business Report' programs before?
But I guess it just didn't worked out in a weekly setting...

and then they are doing it again.
