Why are they moving studio in New York when Buisness Live is getting axed in the evening in a months time?

Why are they moving studio in New York when Buisness Live is getting axed in the evening in a months time?

Because there's more than just a studio in the New York office?

They could wait though till the show's been axed.

Why does BBC World sometimes decide to do a bulletin at 0900GMT after Business Live while others they play recorded fare?

It's purely driven on whether there's a big news story to cover, or something imminent that means it's better to stay on a news bulletin than playout recorded programming. The norm is for a short summary.

Weekend bulletins are replaced with a generic BBC World News bulletin. Not sure how this will affect the NC?

So over to the NC Now to see if there are any changes to their schedules (aside from 100 Days ending on Thursday 27th April.)

I wonder how PBS affiliates will feel about them carrying a show heavily featuring Asian news. The first half hour of GMT at 1200GMT/0700ET is syndicated to public tv stations across the US.

Edit : Immediately after posting this I realized I wasn't taking into account DST here in the US. The current 7AM version of GMT on PBS will remain intact.

Sad to see World News Today gone. I guess it wasn't unexpected. It's been dying slow a death. The OS format and style doesn't appeal to me. I guess it's what people in the UK would call marmite.

I've heard that despite BBC World News being a commercial entity that they can't have sponsored shows or elements. But I've noticed that there's been an advertisement for the BBC Earth app that's branded "In Association with BMWi", the The Spirit of Yachting has the same with Rolex, and Horizons with DuPont. How is this any different from direct sponsorship? To me it just seems like a thinly veiled way of getting around the rules.
