I reckon if those new Global titles were posted as a mock here, they would not get a glowing response. Pretty average, is my take. (Especially the ending of the main titles with "Global" zooming into place.)

The overall package certainly strikes me as inferior to the standard BBC News titles - although I think that's generally true across the designs used for other specially branded bulletins.

The previous Global titles were not amazing, but were at least distinctive. These ones try and make up for an uninspiring, derivative motif by splashing different colours around.

There is a dozen of other things that need to be refreshed and revamped and they made a choice the show that had the best look. Such a fail.

The new opening is like a bad mock, especially the music that sounds like a cheap phone ringtone. Old music had so much depth and great deep bass.

Well the uploader looks like has recorded it off some web stream, I'll record it and put it on my YouTube channel and lets see if it sounds better.

So, we are now into Studio Cs most intense period of usage of the year.
24/7 usage for the next 2 to 3 weeks while the Studio B programmes are on holiday, although a lot of 5 minute summaries and prerecorded features it still needs to be available and staffed for a major breaking incident.

Her fellow World News America anchor Laura Trevelyan became a United States Citizen on 9 November 2016 - the day after the presidential election.

I just found out about her ceremony in the past week. Was shocked to find out that I missed the initial posting as I check her Twitter regularly. I guess I missed it with the election and coming to terms (working on the fifth stage of grief) of the current president elect.

She did drop it in when she was on location on the night of the US Election.

Major news out of Turkey but BBC World viewers are stuck with an African news program.

Still NOT the place for breaking news.

They'll be accused of being Russiophobic or whatever the term is, hardly the best time for accusations of bias aimed at the BBC. Not to mention, we got non-stop coverage of Muhammad Ali's death for at least 15 hours. He was ill and old (no offence) whereas this was unexpected and fits into an ongoing crisis.
