Is it easy to get BBC world news in USA?

I presume it shows the normal ads but with USA timings?

You generally have to subscribe to one of the more advanced cable or satellite packages - it's generally not included in the basic pack. Hotels I believe carry the channel. If you have a satellite dish and a regular tuner you won't be able to receive the channel as its encrypted.

The ad breaks are the same as they are in the rest of the world. Theres one ad break during each half hour news block, then after the weather until the bottom of the hour, another ad break halfway through the back half hour program, once that's over another ad break/breakfiller until TOTH.

There are some differences between the North American feed and the rest of the world due to preemptions. Instead of Asia Business Report and Sport after Newsday we have the cultural half hour programs. Additionally some programs may be advertised accidentally but won't air due to rights issues.

BBC has done a few reversals with its distribution strategy in the US. BBC World newscasts have been simulcast on PBS affiliates in the early and late evening slots for a long time and are generally pretty high rated. BBC America used to simulcast BBC World in the early morning but also later in the day as I recall. Then, the BBC launched World News America and made it exclusive to BBC World and BBC America, pissing off PBS. PBS then tried replacing the BBC simulcasts with its own program (anybody remember World Focus?) in some places, pissing off PBS viewers who just wanted their BBC and their Mike Embley.

Then, around 2011/2012, the BBC took most/all news off BBC America, reformatted World News America to be simulcast on PBS, and started distributing BBC World directly to major cable providers.

I've had access to it when I've had Comcast in three separate states. Right now, I don't have cable myself and just mooch off someone else's Comcast subscription to watch some channels on Apple TV. Through there, I can now watch Al Jazeera, CNN Domestic and International, Sky News, CBSN, Euronews (through Livestation and Airplay), DW-TV, and France 24. BBC World is one of the more notable holdouts from Apple TV and one of the few I still miss watching regularly, but I guess those are the sacrifices I make by not having cable anymore. I still can watch it on my computer by logging into my Comcast account, just not on Apple TV.

Which satellite do you point too out of interest to get BBC World News?

Yep - in some territories BBC World News and BBC World News HD are FTA / Clear (i.e. unencrypted) on some platforms - but also encrypted on other platforms.

Seems to be more encrypted in US, at least here there are a few FTA transmissions here in Europe.

Another issue with the RSS feed news ticker: unintentional repetition. The Facebook video viewers count story headline appeared twice because it was in the top five stories on the front page and in the top three in business.
Edit: Might as well add this, the third most important story in the world is 'Lurking clown arrested in Kentucky woods near apartments'. Rolling Eyes Thumbs down

Looks like BBC World got new countdowns. Unfortunately I haven't seen much of them. Any uploads would be appreciated.

I was trying to figure out what happened but at a closer look of your images (specifically your first) it looked like what was on the middle screen was supposed to be spread across all three.
