Oh dear Phil Avery must have worn a blue tie on the weather his tie effectively became transparent and you could see part of the weather through his tie Surprised

Haven't they got CSO that can change between green and blue now to give flexibility with what the presenter is wearing?

Not sure you would have thought someone would check the recording before putting the forecast to air.

It's probably preferable to run the forecast with that error in than not at all. I think some of the weather shifts and incredibly busy. The weekend domestic presenters cover tv and radio while Breakfast is on air

Perhaps he was expecting to be on the balcony or a news studio rather than a CSO?

For a World forecast? Not likely.

BBC World News coverage of the Olympics. Chris Mitchell will present Sport Today from Rio and Babita Sharma will be anchoring there as well.

They could do with a more up to date shot of the BBC Sport studio.

I didn't realise Babita Sharma had any sports experience? Although it is good to have an all round presenter.

When WN decamped to Stratford for London 2012, she was good there.

I live in the USA and just started receiving BBC World News channel this past weekend. In the past I have been able to watch half hour editions of World News on my local PBS stations (we have two here) and BBC America. We don't have any proper news channels here any longer and it is very difficult to even find a good summary of the news every day unless you can get home in time to catch the CBS Evening News/PBS Newshour or be home at the time BBCWN airs on public television/BBCAM. I realize I can watch any number of news sources on my phone, and I do, but I also like to watch news on my TV still. I don't think it is too much to ask to have ONE good news channel. I don't live in a huge metro area so we don't have a 24 local news channel either. Some here might not hold BBCWN in very high regard but it is a breath of fresh air over here.

The ticker is doing weird things at the moment it's just there with no text showing the regular lower thirds is working though.

I wish there were an easy way for me to stream BBC World onto my AppleTV here in the US. Not having that ability means that I've been watching other channels more.

There are ways of streaming BBC World News as I do on my Amazon Fire Stick in the UK, but it involves Smart DNS and a subscription to a Swiss IPTV provider.
