I actually LOVE the new orchestral pieces in the countdown, it livens the music up so much! What is the difference between countdowns A1 and A2, and B1 and B2, set A uses the same clips in different orders or what?

Yep. More or less the same clips but in a different order. It's to mix them up a bit and ensure that we see different presenters in the last 20s - often the only bit that gets shown. Both of the C versions will be 95% different content to A and Bs.

Is the newsroom on the ground floor? If so I'd love to see a long shot from outside, through the front doors, through the newsroom to NC studio overlooking the newsroom. The speed would be fast like the final shot of the WN countdown, and would be good if you could work in all of the NC presenters, much like the final shot of The Bill.

"much like the final shot of The Bill" Laughing

Newsroom is on the floor below the ground floor.

If you have shots going around the place finding random people in the newsroom, it will look very Sky News 2005 relaunch.

Well yeah...it had all the main characters in one continuous move for the final shot. Instead of characters it would be presenters. If the newsroom is on the ground floor it may be a bit harder to get in form outside, to the stairwell and to the newsroom to the studio.

Also, I believe Kay Burley was the only anchor in the actual TOTH, the rest was crew moving about?

has it not occurred to you that the sky news 2005 look was a disaster? why emulate it?

I don't want to emulate it. I thought a wide shot form the 'forecourt' through the doors to the newsroom to the studio would look good!

Same! The only problem I had was too much blurring and the fact they used a cameraman to cover a transition.

yes but nobody else did, it was nearly beyond parody. The only people it appealed to was TV Forumers! Their ratings plummeted!

I've also put all the World's Newsroom promos up there as I produced and edited those too... with plenty of help.

*MEGAYAY* at these. I really like the gallery shot in the 4th one and the newsroom shot in the 2nd.

Devastated about the loss of John Simpson's duck though. Can there be a half hour tribute programme to it broadcast when News 24 makes the move and we lose the clip forever?

Thanks in advance.

Which parts of WN's output is still from TVC then? Is it 0500 to 1200 when GMT starts?
