Do the continent only weather bulletins only go out on each opt of BBC World News, or did viewers elsewhere in the world get an Europe only forecast from Ben Rich at 1230 GMT?

There is no longer a 30-minute bulletin at 9 am UK time/0800 GMT on weekdays. That hour consists only of a summary, a taped show from the weekend (the Travel Show, Click, etc.) and then HardTalk. There is no weather or a headlines summary at :30 past.

WHAT???? A taped show at the top of the hour on BBC World on weekdays???? This is unheard of when it comes to this channel.

Bizarre move. Especially considering CNNI are going the other way (they do actually have their own news at 9.00am).

If it's about cost cutting, I'd sooner they removed a back half hour from GMT, Impact etc. Geeta is there anyway. It makes little to no sense.

It's happened since the Victoria Derbyshire show started at 9:00 on the News Channel.

No it hasn't. The 3 minute summary started this week. For the last two weeks a 26 minute world-only bulletin has been in the slot. Prior to that there was a 26 minute bulletin, the first 13'30" of which was also shown on the news channel.

Well, not entirely unheard of. Back in the late 1990s / early 2000s, some hours had a 10-minute World News, followed by taped programmes. Even as late as 2001, the 1700 GMT weekday bulletin was 10 minutes long, followed by WBR and a taped programme I seem to recall.

Granted, though, 3 minutes is unusually short for a weekday.

My mistake, I thought it had. One week's difference, as VD's 9:00 start was 21 March and this started 28 March.

Does anyone else have issues on the BBC World News schedule page? I tried two or three of the different regions and all are coming up blank.

'There's no schedule for today' for the ones I tried.
3 minutes is unusually short for a weekday.

It isn't too short when compared to Al Jazeera's 4 or 5-minute top of the hour summaries during some hours to accommodate their longer documentaries. Or those on France 24 during some hours on weekdays. I don't imagine those on CNN International being any longer. It is unfortunate they've decided to do this.

France 24 News bulletins are a minimum of 10 minutes, every half hour.

Except for the bottom of the hour during 'The Debate' and its repeat, which are only 2 minutes. Regardless, I shouldn't have included them because there is a 10 minute bulletin before the start of 'The Debate'. For some reason I confused the top and bottom of the hour bulletins during 'The Debate'. Apologies.
