When did BBC Bengali launch, and where are they coming from, can't say I recognise that set/studio. Love the titles though.

Just did a google translation those videos are from November.

Curious are these tv "services" broadcast anywhere other than online?

Well to answer your specific question, the BBC Bangla service launched in 1941!!

Talking about title cards with names, I think Babita probably would have earned her name on the Newsday titles but since it isn't a solo show, something like 'Newsday with Rico & Babita' might sound awkward.

Oh on another note, about the recent departure of Daniela Ritorto back to Australia to work for SBS News, I think that's where Yalda Hakim worked before she joined the BBC. And anyone knows who replaces her as alternate for Mike Embley?

I believe Lebo Diseko is filling in as the weekend overnight presenter for the foreseeable future.

I'm sure they must be - otherwise why would it be in 4:3 online?

Done a little digging, the 'BBC Probaho' is a weekly news programme broadcast from Dhaka on Channel-i in Bangladesh. It's quite a nice and sizable studio.

Their signal briefly dropped out and they quickly cut to Phillipa Thomas with a package on Zika.

It was very stormy with some very loud thunder.

Newsday is coming from Washington and Singapore today for Super Tuesday.

No location voiceovers as expected, just the end half of the titles used.

I watched the edition at 7am/11pm. Babita Sharma in London and normal titles. I thought you were supposed to be the rota expert?

It was an interesting start, Sharanjiyt opened as usual and gave Super Tuesday as the headline, afterwards Katty Kay in Washington replacing the second headline saying she'll provide an analysis with Babita Sharma doing her usual routine and usual titles. The first edition certainly.

Interesting just now, interesting graphic error as the lower thirds didn't appear for the first two minutes or so, with just the BBC World Need box and then during an interview the information bar appeared. A bit later, the clock, ticker, etc appeared.

I think that happens quite often doesn't it?
