BBC World News from New Broadcasting House

Big pressure on C, although a lot of bulletins will just be 5 minute summaries the studio would still have to be manned and ready to go on air at a moments notice 24/7 for the next 2-3 weeks. Unless of course Studio D is called into use.

They've managed the same set-up for the last few years, and also in N8 prior to the move. So, I presume the 2 weeks period of intensity is well-planned in advance?

Outside Source is still running, so there's a small breathing space for that....

Did anyone notice an error with the World News ticker yesterday morning around 5:30 and 6:30 London Time?

The ticker was scrolling on and disappear immediately. The headlines and summary's failed to load. Surprising that it only happened during World Business Report.

I'm watching the US feed, as I am on my last weeks in the US. Not sure if the other feeds showed the same issue...

I noticed the ticker was just blank during the midnight hour of Newsday.

I noticed as well. I think it appeared later in the day as well.

I always forgot are the local tickers regionalized and where are they and the logo played out? Does it use the Viz Engines at NBH or is it inserted by Red Bee Media/Ericcson? If it's the latter that would explain the RSS headlines.

Either can insert the ticker. Generally the studio originating news programmes puts it on when they are on air and Ericsson put theirs on during tape programmes.

Right now it seems to be doing that again. World is displaying ticker but the UK channel is showing a blank one.

Thought I'd mention this but BBC World News America will be handled from London through January 4.

All branded programmes are now over until Mon 4th.

2 weeks of World News and no Peter Dobbie to present it.
