It's going to be challenging swapping studio's halfway through (unless the whole 2 hours comes from C)?
Change to the BBC World News schedule from this morning - GMT now runs from 11:00-12:00 (from studio C) as well as the 12:00-13:00 hour.

Yes, Studio A, B and C all neighbour one another so it would take less than a minute to transfer from studio to studio.
No - they've moved to studio B for the second half of the programme.
Bear in mind that the first "hour" actually finishes at about 51-52 minutes past the hour.
I would assume studios B & C are beside one another so it shouldn't be too difficult.

Less than a minute to physically run from one studio to another possibly, but rather longer to swap radio mics and talkback packs, plus confirm communications links with the gallery, and rehearse the opening (which will be very different to the opening rehearsed in C). Hence the short programme played from Pres while the presenter relocates.

Well to be fair those short programmes are played in the second half hour of all the titled programmes (GMT, Impact, Global and now Outside Source as well).

Of course not (and nor did I suggest it would), but that's not the reason for the filler.
Yes, but my point was that it doesn't take "less than a minute" for a presenter to get from one studio to another even if they are next door. There's a lot more to consider than physical relocation.

Word to the wise - if I wanted to look like a bit of a pillock, picking an argument with a very well placed BBC news insider about something like this would be a really good way of going about it
I think you can be pretty confident that deejay is in the know on this stuff.
