Not sure if this was mentioned but I noticed this week that WN has started using the headline thunderclaps with the violin echo, same as News Channel.
The opening sequence is still the standard WN one.

Because I'm a nerd I look closely at the monitor walls when I see tweets like this:
I'm a bit curious what the feed on OS3 BBC Master Control represents. Is it just a typical master control before the signals sent to RedBee or is it where the graphics are mixed ?
As a side note I had know idea there were six cameras in that main studio. It seems like they only ever use three on air.

You're way off base. It's the opposite. If that is a shot of the BBC Washington gallery then an OS would be something coming into Washington not leaving it.
It's just a holding caption that MCR (who handle - some of the - lines in and out of BBC New Broadcasting House) put on outgoing circuits to ident that they are coming from the BBC MCR. It's better than black and more useful than bars, though the sound on it will drive you slowly mad.
Chances are that's an OS that may previously have had a source into the Washington studio that came via MCR in London, but is now carrying a holding caption.
And it's such a pity that broadcasters spend so much putting effort into lighting and providing decent sound from their talent in studios, yet shoot their 'social media' stuff on phones with junk lighting and sound...

Nice changes on Newsday that I've spotted recently. Now Singapore seems to just come from the window and there is a time check at the start of the programme with Singapore and London. I can understand them pitting the time up on screen but they could do it at strategic times during the programme.

They are using the window because the clocks have changed recently meaning that it is light outside meaning they can use that instead. Before that, the show began at 7am rather than 8am and is normally pitch dark outside before sunrise so they do the studio shot instead.

I prefer the newsroom backdrop on World tbh. As an Australian, watching a news bulletin with a nighttime London backdrop during our daylight hours never sat comfortably. It was very jarring, especially since before 2013 it was always from a newsroom set that was 'time-neutral'.
It's the same with CNN Tonight, which airs during the day here in Australia.
