BBC World News from New Broadcasting House

Looks like 0500 hour will be coming from NBH from the 28th January.

I just hope they get the world business report branding sorted as it seems a bit of a mess with different editions having different titles and music.

World doesn't use the ticker for breaking nearly half as much as Domestic do.

I wonder if it will go yellow...

Asia Business Report is finally using it's new titles, so what happened yesterday... Technical error, or they did not give a copy in advance?

Only if it's a major Sport story surely?
Speaking of yellow tickers, looks like the SPORT box on the ticker isn't always yellow, seen a white one scroll by occasionally.

I can't say I really like it. Maybe for the opening and closing shots but frankly a split screen is a lot easier and doesn't look so weird....

I thought I was the only one who noticed this cock-up earlier today!

This actually happened during the commercial break for WN, and Kesha is mentioning the popular articles at BBC News website, and then abruptly moving to this shot and then played the Return (to program) sting too early... but Kesha continued to talk!

I wish I have recorded it.

In addition to this, I've noticed them switching between the new generic L3 Graphics and specially branded business ones with the globe from the titles on them, during individual programmes. A Name strap would have the globe, then a headline strap wouldn't. Quite messy.

I get the general impression they are still trying to iron out all the kinks. As they become more familiar with the technology these minor inconsistancies are likely to disappear.

Also, I quite like these new breakbumpers, but I do think that they should perhaps not use the Headline bed music.

Breaking News now on BBC World News, and it seems the indication on the ticker that it is a "Breaking News" story when everything is written ALL CAPS.

And are they simulcast with BBC News channel? Nik Gowing is talking to the eyewitnesses to the helicopter crash & a UK MP...
