Both the website and EPGs are showing:
17:00 UKT - OS/Focus on Africa
18:00 - BBC WN/WBR/Sport Today
19:00 - WNT
19:30 - Sport Today
20:00 - Biz Live

The SNT Three
Sorry- surprisingly, nobody actually explicitly posted about the new edition of Business Live. Good stuff though, I thought it was a shame Business Edition got scrapped (although that's mainly because it was for OS...)

It's a shame Business Live isn't on the news channel. Had it been half hour later so 0830 and 2030 GMT both could have taken it.

I wasn't too impressed with the evening edition of Business Live, Tanya talking over Michelle at the beginning, the music vamp reduced way too low and one of the cameras went a bit weird, it should have been an ident after the BBC World News summary, I am sure they put out the wrong background for the summary too.

I take it the evening edition of Biz Live is one presenter in London and the other in New York?

Michelle Fleury appeared quite a lot during the second edition of Business Live. She wasn't just providing an update but was practically co-anchoring. A bit of a throwback to when one edition of WBR was done from London and New York.
Also, the edition of Sport Today following WNT was actually half an hour long.

Michelle is co-anchoring the programme - that's the point - it's presented jointly from London and New York.

That makes sense. I didn't catch the first third of it unfortunately and I didn't even know about this second edition until last night so I had of this idea of a revival of Business Edition with just one anchor but under a new name. Embarassed

We also saw a bit of the insert studio they use in NY. For the most part during the show it looked like Michelle was sitting but during one bit entitled "Accross The Americas" it had Michelle standing up next to a LCD or Plasma monitor using it as an OTS graphic of sorts. Behind the mentor there was a graphic against the wall was a skyline view of NY.

Based on what others haves posted it appears they have limited facilities in NY with a newsroom view, outdoors and the insert studio.

Yeah that's right it didn't feel right compared to the morning edition which just feels more slicker.

Couldn't they use the main studio in DC? I saw the beginning of the programme so far and thought it was very clunky. They would be better doing it how World Have Your Say did it, which was an opening and then a summary. The World News Today presenter could stay on and sit at the desk, while Tanya Beckett stands on the cat walk and she does the opening with Michelle Fleury in New York and then pass to the summary presenter.

They definitely need to work on the delay/cueing (assuming it's fiber). Also has Tanya recently worked with a co presenter - if not she may be rusty.

Also on an unrelated not my iPad lost all my bookmarks I'm looking for a website where BBC News offers studios/facilities for hire. I'm not talking about the large studios but rather the cupboards and or field work. I vaguely remember during President Mandela's funeral the BBC provided stand up and transmissions facilities for CBS News.

I don't think DC would work out. The show is a business show after all and NY is the Worlds Financial Capital or at the very least of the Americas. I could see them either doing a standup outside the Fed in DC or in the bureau when there are big decisions.
