The closings were a bit clumsy this morning, they can't get the timing right, main presenter shot stays for too long so they have to rush the wide studio shot.

On the BBC Two bulletin, somebody obviously forgot to put the music up right until the end.

Yes, I thought the same. I really don't like the London backdrop at all. Seems to be quite popular in Britain and has been talked up a bit in a few media pieces but I can't see any benefit to having such a localised backdrop on an international news channel. The image itself seems over-processed, artificial and has an uncomfortable purple tinge which clashes with the reds of the graphics.

as has been said 6000 times, they did a survey of their viewers and London was by far the most popular of the potential backdrops

Thanks for the caps. Good to see those titles properly. The jump cuts are no longer in time with the beeps, which is a shame, but overall I think the decision to slow down the animation is a good one.

I'm not sure - they've only really slowed down the animation on two shots so they look strangely out of place, but maybe that's because we're so used to seeing the 2008 version.

I'm a little disappointed they didn't rework the titles. I agree with the decision to keep the same pulsating rings, red and white theme, but that could still have been achieved with some redesigned titles shots.

I like the fact the ticker is in sentence case now.

What gets me about this is after all of the promotion about the world's newsroom we are back at TVC for the European Breakfast programme with Naga and Sally. EVEN WORSE: They used the old WBR branding, so its just a huge mish-mash of confused presentation, new live bug with old straps, new look WBR earlier in the day but reverted back in the morning. Sloppy.

To be fair, I think moving a whole TV channel not only to a new set or a new studio but to a whole new building requires a huge effort which is beyond imagination for most of us, I guess. So they might just be in need of a longer period of downtime at NBH between the first days of broadcasting in order to solve some minor problems - and this may be the reason for their use of their "old" home for several hours a day for the time being.

I think the BBC did a superb job yesterday. The studios at NBH went on air without any major technical problems or even breakdowns. And we all know that the current situation is not a permanent one. It will only last for a few weeks (if at all) so I really think that your criticism is quite unjustified.

I too echo the sentiments that the BBC did a superb job yesterday and my real issue is more that of the use of the old WBR titles, fair enough keep some programmes at TVC whilst things bed in but what is the sense in having different branding for the same programme throughout the day? An oversight maybe? Sloppy.

Love the BBC World News box hanging over the end of the titles and being keyed over the wide shot - very nice touch.

Can anyone else hear the gap before each thunderclap? It's really distracting with my headphones on.
