I didn't think studio C had access to the trundle cam?
They could use one of the recorded shots which are used on the Five (and the 9 before OS took over).
You know, they could work the newsroom pan into TWT if they wanted to, seeing as domestic won't be using the camera until 9 (or shortly before)

Thats correct, I think Studio E is the only studio that can actually move the trundle cam.

I'd rather they didnt.
The original edit of the titles as used on World is far better than the butchered version on Domestic output.
I always felt the newsroom pan should be used for the end of the bulletins, not shoehorned into the titles.

It's nice to be able to see Sport Today again in North America due to the Hiroshima anniversary. Refreshing to get some live programming instead of a repeat from last weekend or worse, something from
months
ago. It would be better if they at least one edition of ABR and Sport Today instead of having only repeats in the back half-hours from 7pm to 11 pm Eastern Time.

Another question: when BBC News domestic and World simulcast each other (such as during the Paris attacks), is the TOTH countdown also identical across both channels with the only difference being the superimposed box?
No - the countdown on BBC World News is played out by their presentation area, operated by Red Bee. The BBC News Channel one is played out by the gallery, as there is no presentation area for the News Channel (and no Red Bee involvement in playout)
As others have said, BBC World News playout will opt-in to the BBC News Channel gallery for the top of the hour, after the BBC News Channel gallery have cut away from their countdown.

Would you be able to explain those images?
This might be impertinent, but would you be able to take some pictures down at your local gaffer/duct tape store too?

Do all the (European) morning bulletins open like this? With shorter titles but a longer studio pan... I don't tend to watch these bulletins/pay attention. It's a bit messy to say the least...

You're right, it does look rather messy! It's a shame because I do like the shorter titles & longer pan, but different audio is definitely needed!

They certainly use those titles at 5am UK time for the former World Today slot, but I wouldn't know if they use them for the rest of that shift. As for it looking a bit messy - I think something went wrong there as usually it looks like this:
I know the video you've linked to is more recent but the way the presenter still says 'top story' rather than introducing all the headlines fits in with the format of the other video, and the same two pieces of music are used in both.
