What do people think of those 60-second packages that consist of just text, graphics, and music? They don't have any voice-overs. They're being used a lot even outside of Outside Source. Some of the music chosen for them irritates me but music is a personal thing.

They annoy me big time - Outside Source make a big deal of them because "they're what we're using on the internet" - but that's where they belong, a short video to watch while you're browsing Instagram, Facebook, etc. They're completely inappropriate for the medium of TV, where images and audio should be used to clarify what's going on in the world!

That edition of Business Live must have been broadcast after its usual time because it was pre-empted by all the press conference
s
from Brussels during its regular slot.

According to the iPlayer guide, Business Live didn't air on the news channel yesterday (Monday) and it broadcast at 1030 UK Time (2 hours later) just BBC World

What do we think will happen Sunday evening/Monday morning for Newsday and Asia Buisness Report?
I wonder if they are drafting Rico and Sharanjiyt in from Singapore or simply using Babita as she has business experience and has presented from Singapore before, this is if she's not needed elsewhere.

I would assume that both Rico Hizon and Sharanjit Leyl would be needed in Singapore during the move and thus it will be some other business presenter covering in London.
Based on the fact the irritating business presenter Alice Baxter is presenting Newsday from London this evening i would imagine they are going to use her and maybe Babita Sharma for the two weeks.
Are all of the editions of ABR even live or are some repeats of earlier broadcasts? Either way i would imagine the 2:30 and 3:30 editions will be repeats during the transition.
EDIT: Sharajit just made reference to the move at the end of ABR 23:40

What did she say?
I noticed Babita wasn't on at the beginning of the week but wasn't able to check if she was covering on Impact as she appears to be doing so a lot recently while Yalda is on assignment somewhere. I know what you mean about Alice Baxter but I think her own style grows on you, a bit like Aaron Heselhurst. Maybe they could put him on as cover! Who needs coffee with his wonderful enthusiasm?
I think they are all live. I've noticed when I've seen the first WBR they have a link to Singapore, do you think they will have a substitute for that or just remove completely for the move?

That Singapore studio is quite cramped and outdated as you can tell with that behind the scenes video. Looking forward to seeing the new one in August. I have no issues with Alice presenting Newsday, although I think the best duo are Babita and Rico.
Sharanjit said Newsday will be coming from London during the move at the end of the programme.

If anyone's interested, the current Singapore studio is located at Shaw Towers from what I read somewhere. I believe the studio where Linda Yueh used for Talking Business in the recent past is in that building too judging from the similar red window frames. Does anyone know if the new studio is located at the same building still or moving entirely elsewhere?
