So is the first two hours live from NBH with the last hour coming from TVC with studio shots from NBH as I'm seeing now on the NC?

I assume NBH is somehow feeding the studio feed (before astons) to TVC as on World we had the new graphics...

I had NC on my TV while WN was on my phone, the astons are being produced from the same place but some clever program is out putting them in the relevant package.

We've had Mike Embly back in N8 with old DOG doing the BOTH headlines.

BBC World has now reverted back to the old look to share astons and ticker with the news channel, Mike is presenting from N8

Noticing all of the report links are angled to the big screen, presumably to avoid getting the (probably empty) news room into shot.

ETA: Nope, introduced News In Brief from another angle and no the room behind him wasn't empty.

I can't remember who said it, but in the old thread someone said "Embrace the cameras, they're part of the set" - So true, and I really like it.

It wasn't my quote, although it was my post about cameras in shot that led to this comment...

I never thought that they will actually use the Virtual Studio on the 1st Day...

I believe so. I think that's the purpose of Virtual Studio & Augmented Reality, to make it look like the graphics & presentation is Live together with the presenter...

So, a few questions. What is the reason for BBC World decamping back to TVC for "overnights"? Why does a channel which broadcasts internationally across multiple timezones even classify their broadcasts as such? And is 0600 GMT really "overnight"?

Very odd to see a promo welcoming me to "their new home" followed by a swooshy countdown ending at NBH before a regular bulletin commences from the same old studio. Perhaps they should've held off on the big promotional push until they're actually there.

Yeah it looks a bit weird at the moment with the chopping and changing from NBH to TVC. The disparities obviously jump out at you like a sore thumb.

Has it been confirmed the full switch will happen? I guess when the NC moves to NBH?
