No but I believe the perceived resolution of the screen was lower than expected so became less of a feature than planned and not adopted at all in studio C.

But that's a completely different story to "someone ordered the wrong one for studio E, and was expecting a lightbox like studio C, but they installed it anyway"...

edit: because of the Paris shootings. The newsroom opener on World looks so much better than the regular bulletins.

Strange to see laptops on the desk with Babita and Phillipa (in Studio B?). Haven't seen a wide shot but it certainly looks like they've changed the colour scheme a bit too.

Edit: The switch to Studio E for the 1600GMT hour didn't go quite to plan, with the News Channel ticker and clock going out for quite a while. Not sure whether RedBee do the changeover or whether it's done within NBH.

I think they have used laptops because that desk is not designed to have two computers beneath the desk, Global uses laptops IIRC.

I think BBC World News gallery just takes a feed from the News Channel and replaces the graphics with their own (logo and ticker etc)

It seems that World and the News Channel have been taking it in turns doing an hour from E then an hour from B. A bizarre mashup of Outside Source and the News Channel 5 o'Clock news at the moment.

What do you mean? Well Huw Edwards is in Paris and Fiona Bruce is in London. I have heard that Huw is also appearing on World this hour.

Six is coming from E as usual, with Huw Edwards in Paris. Gavin Esler has continued on World and the NC from B, joining Huw at presumably the end of the headline sequence on the Six.

Yes. I see Fiona is coming in from London as I see her on BBC 1 Wales HD but I am watching the feed from the NC with Gavin Esler from B.
