I like the original 1997 and the 2008 on-screen graphics the most. They seem designed with care, and reinforce the brand. The tweaks done in 2002 were not bad, but did seem less polished and used some ugly weights of Gill Sans. The current tweaks seem bland and feel disconnected from the titles and other elements of the brand.
Clean versions of the 2000 Lambie-Nairn titles/stings/countdowns have been uploaded on YouTube. Not fantastic quality but great to see them clean.
"Full version from playout video server" according to the video descriptions. As you say, decent quality but only in 14:9 of course. I guess the only way we'll see them in 16:9 is if someone from Lambie-Nairn uploads them Great to see them clean nonetheless.
Very nice to see those titles and stings in clean it's just so good, it hasn't been the same since really, although I wonder why it's in 14:9 when it will have been played out widescreen internally.
I am on holiday in Spain and notice that GMT isn't on. Is it not shown any more?
It was broadcast on Friday - Maybe just a studio problem as World has remained in Studio C also Tim Wilcox still referring to the current programme as GMT . It is shown on the online schedule.
EDIT: For the second half hour they have found the GMT Graphics , titles etc..

If its 14:9 they must be from the Red Bee presentation server rather than the gallery one.

Red Bee didn't exist when these were taken. They're also from a VideoCD (rather than DVD) hence the extra compression and probably the 14:9 ratio also. A kind member of this forum is the source of these I believe and may be able to shed further light on their source if they wish.
