Schedule note, because the clocks went forward in the US this week, World News America and Business edition swap places on the schedule until the end of the month.

All of the headlines wipe on the opening of Business Edition used a World News America graphic and then once panning through the studio after the titles the studio was showing graphics for World Business Report rather then Business Edition.

That's happened throughout my time of watching bbc world, occasionally they forget to change the graphics scheme, ie I saw a bbc world news bulletin which appeared after an episode of Asia today and that world news bulletin was presented with Asia today graphics!

Again?! They do seem to be doing this a bit since they've moved to NBH, isn't it around 4 or 5 times that they've done this on a Saturday morning?

Wow, so precise. Maintenance probably, or technical issues, but it is one of the studios used for BBC world anyway. No surprise.

It may be because the News Channel needed to stay in the same overnight position they were in to roll away from Breakfast for the Kuala Lumpur developments, meaning there wasn't enough time for Gavin Grey to move upstairs to the NC set, so he stayed "hot" in the overnight studio.

Or it may have been for planned maintenance of other filming reasons.

World once again sticking to their regular schedule despite several major news stories, most of all Crimean referendum today. Overall, their coverage of 2 major stories over the last 2 weeks has been a let down while its competitors, like CNN, have pulled all the stops and delivered. This weelend, CNN had more live news (30 or 60 min bulletin EVERY hour) than BBC World which stuck to its regular schedule and dozen of 10 min bulletins (mostly in the morning).

In a way though, there's not much to report on until the first predictions come in even though it's certain to go Russia's way. So unless something drastic happens before the results, I can understand why they have kept to a normal schedule...

Does the new style of opening a generic bulletin applies to all generic bulletins at Studio C? I'm referring to the one with presenter reading the headlines from the catwalk. So far from the time slots I follow, I only managed to see it at the 2am slot. I think I didn't see Geeta doing it during the 8am slot yesterday.

I'm also thinking it might be better to just pan straight to the catwalk instead of panning across the empty table then to the catwalk. It just appears quite unnecessary and odd to me. It seems this is their default arrangement for the catwalk opening so far. When I first saw Katty Kay at Studio C opening WNA, this was the same style too.
