So I guess the BBC News Channel will be in Studio C 5-6pm and 9.30-10pm. But with BBC World News in Studio B, they could also move to C at 1pm and 6pm if necessary. Really like the look of the studios, a massive improvement!

According to Wikipedia BBC World News will be in Studio E until 8am, so they're making good use of all the studios.

I assume that it would be for the whole 9PM Hour as I assume descending 3 floors and getting set up isn't possible in 3-5 Minutes.

I think I read somewhere on this forum that the News Channel will be in C for the whole 5 and 9 hours.

World News Today looked fantastic from Studio C. I think I prefer Studio C to B for World News - the screens look much sharper.

Well I've also read on this forum that the 9:30-10 will be coming from Studio A. So somewhere someone is talking crap.

Seeing as Business Edition with Tanya Beckett airs from 9-9:30 I find it very unlikely that BBC News (channel) will be using C for the full 9pm hour. 5pm seems feasable.

I don't think that World using Studio E has been confirmed either. I'm pretty sure it was an insider who said the overnights were staying at TVC until the end of the month.

Hi,

I've been in NBH for trials. Overnights stay at TVC for the next two weeks. The virtual studio(Studio A) is going to be single-headed by one presenter for the whole 9pm hour on the News Channel.

Can someone explain what studios are where and who will use them? I thought there was a large studio overlooking the newsroom for BBC One, the NC and World would have matching studios and there would be another (studio B) for Newsnight etc.

Why do channels need to switch studios when the weather/ad beaks provide enough downtime to switch presenters?

- Studios A, B, C, D on floor -3. Studio E beside newsroom floor
- Studio A (VR - NC 9pm - 10pm; HARDtalk)
- Studio B (Newsnight, Marr, Sunday Politics on Domestic; GMT, Impact, Global and World News (12pm - 6.30pm)
- Studio C (BBC World News every other time) [maybe BBC NC 5pm, not confirmed]
- Studio D (BBC London News - pending)
- Studio E (BBC NC and Domestic, from March)

Studios change for the following reasons:
-To vary presentation
-To allow rehearsal time for flagship bulletins (i.e the Six and Ten)

Absolutely love studio C, the night skyline was a nice surprise. It all makes sense now, this set is used at night and in morning when it will have day London skyline. That's probably why they wait till their evening flagship program WNT to use it. It's warm, cosy and colorful, like an upgraded N8. Black desk was a surprise, didn't notice it on photos.

I really hope World gets to use Studio E in early morning during Breakfast. It would only be fair for all audiences to enjoy NBH to the max. News Channel should also use Studio C in the afternoon.

Where do we think election programs will come from? 2010's was a specially built one wasn't it?

B is the largest, perhaps with Jeremy Vine in A?

Is a carbon copy of C? or less circular with a view?

It makes how think how much of a small, ill-thought out space Breakfast's studio is in Salford. Looking at the London studios, Breakfast deserve a bigger, more sophisticated space when they next relaunch/are able to get a bigger space.

I believe an insider said the next General Election will not come from NBH.

Still in B for a regular bulletin, so I assume C isn't online.

Strangely, the titles didn't have a BBC World News logo.

Must have been a fault with how it's overlaid, as the BBC World News box logo is generated live, so it can split and show a 'BBC News' box and a 'BBC World News' box depending what channel it's being broadcast on. Very clever stuff. All titles have been rendered clean with no 'box' as a result.

Clever, but worth it? Surely that means the box is going to come and off and some very random points, whereas before now it appeared smoothly as the title endboard appeared.

Love the new orchestra countdown, itīs totally different from the former one.

Now a full 40 seconds countdown. To me the theme sounds too similar compared with the old one.

Just to note that studio C looked equally great in all blue lighting on Biz Edition. Also great details on that London skyline, there's a plane or something flying in the distance.
