its a very poor effort the endboards are nice but its hardly in line so makes it look poor, this is the worst breakfiller in BBC World's history.

Also a lack of constitency with font, especially the use of bold on some of the slides.

The 'Live the story' font also looks squished and is in a totally different font.

It makes the knock off logos that the BBC News channel used to use for BBC One etc look good!

I don't mind the visual aspect but I can't believe they picked the ending countdown music for those idents telling us what's up next. That means we get the same, ending countdown music, 3 times before a bulletin starts. It totally kills the countdown effect.

They should have just used one of the themes from the previous breakfiller/idents. I loved those. There was really no need to change them.

Or any one of the several other mixes David Lowe wrote of the countdown for use in promos etc.

What we all really want is the return of the early Noughties breakfiller music.

I was just about to write about what you guys are already talking about.. just saw some of it on tv and I really don''t like it. There's no consistency in the brand at all now.

the mosart equivalent of a BSOD?

I believe that's the capture used for the split screen on Newsday.

Correct, surprising to see this pop up on a day that Newsday isn't broadcast - this was shown during a BBC News overnight bulletin

Newsday broadcasting LIVE from Manila with Sharanjit Leyl today instead of the normal Singapore, Babita is still in Studio C in London though

In one of the latest arrangements of the new breakfiller to showcase upcoming programs, it plays the TOTH countdown as background exactly like the usual TOTH, not just the ending bit, it play for a good 20 seconds or so. It makes one suddenly think the TOTH is up, there's no difference.

Now, this isn't something I do very often, but I've been thinking about how nice it would be for Newsday to have it's own music, and so I came up with this solution. It's the old News 24 Tonight music, repackaged with the WN signature notes, and I think it fits quite well - many apologies in advance for A) The poor quality of the video and B) Posting an audio mock in the first place.
