What DanielK's done doesn't seem dramatically more complicated than what they currently do - it basically only involves adding a couple of audio tracks (of which multiple are already available each hour).
The bigger problem is it's still a mess - not because of anything DanielK's done, but because he hasn't got to the root of the problem. Making the assumption they want the bulletin to be more 'distinct', why not cut straight to the video for the top story (I.e. avoid the slightly cumbersome 'This is BBC World News' opening and return to a pre-NBH/2008 format), then cut to Martine with a 'welcome', followed by the other news headlines including at least one excerpt of a package, rather than Martine over visuals, and mix in a pre-recorded, snappier dose of what's to come in the business later (as opposed to the 'business headlines'). Finally, the titles, and create a unique pan into Martine.
The issue with the current format is it slows things down too much - without that seemingly being the intention. The early hours always have rather a lot of content, especially with the dedicated business news, but the current version takes too long and feels out of rhythm.
I also don't understand why, if they have a dedicated, branded business bulletin at the bottom of the hour, they would have the business presenter do an old NC-style business update from the newswall. Why not have the business presenter 'talk to' the news presenter at the desk about what's in the business news today, serving also as a tease/promotion for World Business Report?
That would just kill Mosart it's too complex on a day to day basis.

A tidbit from Lord Hall's plans:
' - The corporation aims to double the BBC's global news audience from 250 million users a week to 500 million by 2022. '

Isn't that while making further cuts, though?
Improving quality, reaching a wider audience and reaching a more diverse audience don't exactly go with cutting the budget?

World News with Dani Sinha is coming from the GMT/Impact/Global/Focus studio today, with a single head shot and generic backdrop.
I guess maintenance in the usual studio? Or is the News Channel using the normal World studio because of yesterday's issues?

They're still in the Global studio now on World, although are now making full use of the set, with wide shots and all three screens depicting stories, as opposed to the generic loops this morning.
