A wrong news footage played on Newsday at about 01:18 am (London). Rico Hizon's webcam guest doesn't have audio, so it switched back to Babita. In the haste, she continued with news about Costa Concordia, but then it played the footage of a previously played clip about the Syrian chemicals. It played to full, and no one mentioned it being wrong.

Looks like GMT is plagued by technical issues. Camera follow Komla around while the news footage which is suppose to play doesn't. So he switched to talking to guests right now.
Yup, the one I mentioned. A total GMT meltdown there. I wonder what was happening, probably another mistake with the sequence loaded wrongly like mentioned here before. For what's worth, the bulletin after GMT was running everything okay, so only GMT was plagued there.
Do the cameras in Studio B have operators? I don't think they're on rails like in C and E because of the more flexible layout.
Studio B has a mix of remote (which can also be operated) and operated cameras in a similar manner to the previous TC7 studio in TVC. The remotes are not on tracks, and are basic Pan/Tilt/Zoom/Elevate models which would need to be moved between different positions by a member of the crew if they aren't operated manually. I believe there is also a jib (which is only ever operated manually).
I don't know if the Studio B set-up in Mosart still recalls shots on the remote PTZs or whether this is done manually. If the latter, I assume in some situations there could be an operator, in other cases the director could do it?
I noticed for the first time Overnight at 2am and 3am GMT for the verdict of Bo Xilai there was a different TOTH sequence, basically pictures of Bo Xilai scrolling left across the screen with an animated background to the usual audio track. I do the sequence an injustice describing it this way, but I can't seem to find an online hosted version, but perfectly nice and must of taken a little time to put together. The rest of the coverage was basically watching the BBC China specalist in the studio reading out Weibo (think twitter) tweets from her iPhone. Anyway, it was an interesting and nice touch.
Saw a deviation in the intro of World Today today. Starts off with 1 main headline announced, followed by music and globe intro clip, then presenter announces more sub-headlines, and then pans to biz presenter on the catwalk for her headlines, then cam zooms from an angle behind presenter while playing some soft music again, and the news presenter begins the news. No two presenters sitting together this time.

Check back the thread, this was introduced last week. It's only in place for the 5am to 8am UKT shift. Presumably it's to give the bulletins more of an identity like it used to have during 'The World Today' times.
