Yeah I'm sure he has done World News bulletins before, and even has appeared on the NC before during one of the simulcasts.
That's a really nice promo, actually. Does Komla Dumor present anything other that Focus on Africa - they seem to like him a fair bit if that's all he does? I think they missed an opportunity by not putting the BBC Blocks behind them though.

I agree about Komla, but they have so many presenters now that I don't think there is room for him. Maybe they could have a few hours of two presenters presenting the news cause that would be great. I really enjoyed David Eades and Lucy Hocking's program in 2008 but they stopped that for some reason.

I could imagine Komla Dumor doing the 10 o'clock news or something in the future. I think he's BRILLIANT.

A lot of the presenters seems to be doing random shifts these days. Like Zeinab presented GMT, Naga presented GMT, and Lucy Hockings presented World News Today.
Komla appears on the early morning shift (6-9 cet) from time to time. That's where he started but since he got his African show he's been there only occasionally.

What is the weekend schedule like for WN? Do the programmes air or is it straight bulleting and WBR?

The GMT presenters would've been shuffled up, as George is covering for the News at Ten bulletin for the domestic side.

I usually see Lyse Doucet and Yalda Hakim, but I saw Komla Dumor's promo with Focus on Africa backdrop on the blocks earlier.
BBCWN is embarking on individual personality promos. Stand-up short few-second intros with a virtual white backdrop. Seen Steven Sackur's and Yalda Hakim's so far.
