BBC World News from New Broadcasting House

I just saw a new channel promotion of BBC World News, featuring Jon Sopel, Lyse Doucet, Stephen Sackur, Yalda Hakim, Komla Dumor, and Mishal Hussein...

Quite interesting that they are really including Yalda as a major personality... and is Mishal staying after all?

Wow that's very interesting. There are some important presenters that aren't in the promo as well like Zeinab Badawi and George Alagiah.
I think they just asked presenters who were there at the time to be in the promo since Jon, Yalda, Mishal, and Komla all present between 13.00 GMT and 16.30 GMT so they would all be available.

But yeah, it would be fantastic if Mishal Hussain would continue presenting Impact.

Why does the camera always shake so much now? Whenever I watch the headlines I always feel like the camera shakes a lot. Its even more disappointing since everything is automated now so you'd think these sorts of problems wouldn't occur.

Maybe Mishal could be staying on as relief? I know she's carrying presenting domestic news, so she could still appear on WN.

I thought that was just me it happens on the NC as well

BBC World News have just updated their facebook cover photo. The old one had the following presenters - Komla Dumor, Nik Gowing, Zeinab Badawi, George Alagiah, Mishal Husain, Lyse Doucet, Tanya Beckett, Stephen Sackur.
BUT - the new one has: Komla, Mishal, Stephen, Jon Sopel, Lyse and Yalda Hakim.

So this seems to tie in with the new promo. We shouldn't read too much I don't think, but it definitely shows who they are pushing as the face of the channel. I expect Mishal will still appear doing odds and ends but not presenting Impact.

I like how Jon Sopel says that he goes off script a bit....More like a lot Mr Sopel!

I love that all the B-roll consists of the super friends looking dazed around them. "Who are you? Where are we? Why is this happening to us?"
