No, it would be good to see the stars from both channels working together on shows.

As they stand for BBC News and I think this means that they should be part of both the channels.

The BBC One bulletin presenters do a pretty full day of work as it is. However wouldn't mixing domestic and international presenters muddy the waters a bit.

BBC World News presenters are chosen to appeal to an international audience, and BBC News domestic presenters are chosen to appeal to a domestic audience. They are chosen for a reason.

There may also be an issue of cost - I suspect BBC World News presenters and BBC One presenters run at a different pay scale - so BBC World News may not be able to afford the additional costs?

They should lower all costs if they can so then they would be on the same pay.

I just think they need to be sharing more of the brilliant journalism, for example..

As GMT Is on at 12. It would be really good for the BBC News Channel to use that show which could run up to the News at 1.

I just think more sharing or presenters as with reporters in years to come.

No thanks. Your suggestions are frankly terrible.

GMT on World is/was hosted by Alagiah, who also does the Six. Huw hosts the Five and the Ten. That alone is a big workload.

Plus, there's the argument that, well, people watching BBC News in the UK actually want to see more UK news. Same thing goes for World - international viewers don't want to watch domestic news. That's the point of having two news channels instead of one: 24 hours a day, a person can expect to watch the news relevant to them whenever they switch on.

Lowering the pay of presenters like Huw and Bruce would only make them jump ship to another broadcaster. They're big assets to the BBC, hence why the corporation feels the need to pay them as such.

As it stands, BBC News and BBC World share a lot of resources and still put out information which is relevant to the respective audiences of each channel. Randomly chucking GMT onto the News channel would be out of place.

Rome Correspondent James Reynolds now named as World Affairs Correspondent.

That's purely because he is on an assignment elsewhere. Most foreign correspondents periodically will be reassigned to other locations to cover a story and when this happens they are titled with the generic term "World Affairs Correspondent".

James Reynolds is the Rome correspondent, but is currently on assignment in Tunisia, while Tom Burridge who is the Madrid correspondent is currently on assignment in Ukraine.

Does the news channel still have the weather presented from the balcony screen during daytime? I only ask, because everytime i've tuned in during the last week it's been presented from the blue screen studio.

Interesting - that means that Alistair Leithead will be on the move to somewhere else.

Also, Ed Thomas has returned to the North of England from his three month stint as East Africa correspondent.

I haven't seen a replacement on air yet.
